Our InFrared Heaters – we offer 2 types

We offer either ceramic heaters or carbon fibre heaters. Both of our heaters are government regulated and ensured to produce infrared waves in the 7-14 micron range. Both heaters work in the same fashion, it’s just a matter of personal preference. Infrared heaters work using electromagnetic radiation. Much like the sun rays warm you on a summer’s day, infrared heaters work by directing radiation directly at objects and using their infrared light to warm up the objects the light comes into contact with. Just as you get cooler when you move out of the sun and into the shade, infrared heaters also only heat objects that are in direct contact with the light.

Carbon Fibre Heaters
Our Carbon Fiber Heaters are cutting edge technology and the peak of FAR-infrared performance.  Carbon fiber heaters emit the most even and direct FAR-infrared (FIR) deep penetrating heat.  Some have said that the FIR emitted by carbon fiber heaters penetrates deeper than any other FIR heaters and operates effectively at a lower temperature. The carbon fibre board is ultra-thin, light-weight and safe to use. The slim-line size of carbon fibre heaters means that they take up very little space within your new infrared sauna. The heating panel uses a sheet that has been impregnated with carbon using a special high temperature pressing technique to produce a resistance that will emit infrared waves at the optimum wavelength of 9.4μm for the human body.

Ceramic Heaters
Ceramic heater elements have been used for over 20 years in the infrared sauna industry. They are extremely efficient at radiating Infrared Heat. This results in lower temperatures and more efficient energy use. Ceramic infrared heaters produce the same useful energy as the sun but without the harmful ultraviolet rays of natural sunlight. Our ceramic tube is filled with sand and minerals. The sand is heated by an embedded coil and when filtered through the ceramic tube produces “Far Infrared” light waves. Because of the sand filled ceramic tubes our heaters produce exceptionally soft and effective far-infrared. Ninety-one percent of the heat produced by our heater is in the “Far” infrared range and measures in the 5-14 micron range which best matches the measurement of our body’s far infrared wave-lengths. Our heat is very gentle allowing for a much more enjoyable experience at lower temperatures than a conventional steam sauna.

How are the ceramic heaters made?
A ceramic tube is filled with sand and inside the sand lies a small electrical coil. The coil is heated and disperses the heat through the sand. This in turn, warms the ceramic tube which then emits the Far Infrared Rays.
